The Land

Casa Prema is a boutique retreat sanctuary located deep in the wilderness of Alentejo, Portugal. Born from a labor of love, the property was carefully restored over nearly a year after being acquired in June 2021. What was once an old house has been transformed into a modern, naturally built home, designed to hold space for healing, simplicity, and connection to nature.

Set across five private acres, Casa Prema is surrounded by hundreds of trees from which 430 trees were planted in the last 4 years, including 155 olive trees rescued and replanted from nearby land. These trees now produce Casa Prema’s own small-batch olive oil, alongside fruit and nut trees that support the land’s natural abundance. The property remains a quiet sanctuary for wildlife, including birds, cows, sheep, and other native species.

At the heart of the land sits a natural spring pool and small waterfall, fully swimmable and untouched. It offers a place for rest, reflection, and quiet immersion in nature.

The main house offers seven ensuite bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to sixteen guests. A fully equipped kitchen serves as a communal space for shared meals and gathering. Every detail reflects the balance between modern comfort and elemental simplicity.

Adjacent to the house is a dedicated geodesic dome, fully climate-controlled and designed for sound healing, breathwork, yoga, movement, ceremony, and intimate gatherings. Heated and air-conditioned, the dome allows for year-round use across various practices and modalities.

At its core, Casa Prema is guided by simple principles: respect for nature, minimalism, silence, balance, and community. It is a space where nature leads, healing unfolds quietly, and people reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the land.
